Pride 365 is building a global network of organisations that are all publicly pledging to improve the lives of the LGBT+ community and then actually doing it. With enough organisation joining the movement we move closer to a more inclusive world that puts authenticity first.
Pride 365 is determined to bring an end to pinkwashing - an inauthentic approach to marketing to the LGBT+ communities. Preferring to adopt a less confrontational model than some others, Pride 365 works with businesses to guide them through the necessary steps to become more authentic every day.
We strive towards our aspiration whereby flying the rainbow flag will become a natural and organic gesture appropriate at any time of the year, rather than calculated tokenism.
In society, every year the LGBT+ community has a shared experience, during Pride season we see rainbow flags everywhere and suddenly they are gone yet the community hasn't. For many, knowing that there are others like them or that they are accepted is incredibly important so as not to become isolated. Pride 365 Partners continue to fly the rainbow long after Pride season has ended or began to maintain the exposure. Together we will raise each other up and improve lives for all.
Many LGBT+ employees hired too often are not made to feel included or that they can be their authentic selves. Only by changing attitudes can we create an environment where it feels easy to be true to yourself. Attitudes change slowly but when they do that is when inclusion can be experienced at the most fundamental level.
Pride 365 was founded during World Pride at the 50th anniversary of Stonewall with the ethos that inclusion at every level is of fundamental importance to a happy and successful society.
