Zander Keig is an award-winning social worker: 2020 National Social Worker of the Year, 2018 California Social Worker of the Year, and public speaker. Additionally he is a sought-after workshop facilitator, workplace consultant and trans community organizer. Zander was instrumental in establishing and developing the Navy Medicine West Regional Transgender Care Team and managed a caseload of 225 active-duty servicemembers navigating a gender transition (2016-2019). Zander is co-editor of the 2011 Lambda Literary Finalist “Letters for My Brothers: Transitional Wisdom in Retrospect,” the 2015 Lambda Literary Nominee “Manning Up: Transsexual Men on Finding Brotherhood, Family & Themselves,” a contributing author of “Adult Transgender Care – An Interdisciplinary Approach for Training Mental Health Professionals” and introduction author of “You and Your Gender Identity – A Guide to Discovery.” Zander is also featured in the 2014 award-winning illustrated documentary, Zanderology, which goes beyond telling people that it gets better and humorously explains how one person changed their life in almost every way possible.
