Why we wanted to be 365 accredited

At Hurst Media, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to our advertising partners, and in turn, showcasing quality content to audiences. Readers can look at a Hurst Media product, and know that this is advertising that they can trust. We endeavour to ensure that all employees, present and future, feel the same way.

With an atmosphere of inclusivity, everyone is comfortable to bring their authentic selves to work each day. Everyone can trust that they are valued at Hurst Media, and Pride 365 Certification will only solidify this.

How does the Pledge fit in with our core values

As a company built on trust, strong values are of the utmost importance to us at Hurst Media. We strive to continuously provide a workplace that is not only a joy to be a part of, but is inclusive to the highest degree. We want our partners to be happy with their campaigns, consumers to be happy with their purchases, and employees to be happy in their working life. 

As an employer, inclusion and diversity has always been a default at Hurst Media, but that has never deterred us from seeking ways to improve and ensuring that we are the best that we can be.

Pride 365 Pledge


We pledge to play our part in improving inclusivity in the workplace and society and be instrumental in bringing about an end to the corporate appropriation of the LGBTQ+ community (pink-washing) to help create a world of inclusion for all.
 
We have made the following commitments:
 
Commitment 1:
 
We will be public and open in support of LGBT+ inclusion 365 days a year by promoting our partnership with Pride 365.  We will apply the Pride 365 designation across company websites, social media, corporate communications and public relations activity. We will do this 365 days a year and not just during Pride season.
 
Commitment 2:
 
We will support a nominated LGBTQ+ initiatives through donation or time/resource allocation to demonstrate our commitment to the community all year round.
 
Commitment 3:
 
Issue press releases to support the partnership with Pride 365; raise awareness for the work of nominated charities; and promote inclusivity in the workplace and society.

Release a CEO statement expressing commitment to inclusion and the partnership with Pride 365.

 
We pledge that these commitments will be carried out by the end of 2023.
