Why signing up to Pride 365 is important to us?
At Lintbells, we support active, happy and healthy lives for all, so creating a culture of inclusivity within our business and in the community is something that’s really close to our hearts. It’s why we’ve pledged our support to the Pride 365 initiative. June may be Pride Month, but this is something we’re committed to all year round.
Why community and being authentic is important to the brand?
Championing inclusivity resonates with our core values in a fundamental way. Every pet needs a person, and we can’t support one without the other. We are doing our bit for dogs, cats and horses around the world, and we want the millions of animal lovers that look after them know that we are there for them, whoever they might be.
Through our relationship with Pride 365 and being able to display that we’re an accredited organisation, we hope to show the LGBTQ+ community and the wider population that we’re committed to supporting everyone, no matter what their personal journey has been – on a daily basis.
As part of our certification, Lintbells will set up a working group dedicated to spearheading inclusion activity within its organisation, an LGBTQ+ Ambassador Program across Lintbells locations globally, and programming and activations that are inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community.
Lintbells Pledge
We pledge to play our part and be instrumental in bringing about an end to the corporate appropriation of the LGBTQ+ community, and helping to incrementally create a world of inclusion for all.
We’ve made the following commitments:
Commitment 1
We will be public and open in support of LGBTQ+ inclusion 365 days a year, by promoting our partnership with Pride 365. We will apply the Pride 365 designation across company websites, social media, corporate communications and public relations activity.
Commitment 2
We will support the Interpride Solidarity Fund charity through fundraising activity, to demonstrate our commitment to the LGBTQ+ communities around the world.
Commitment 3
- Partner with the Pride 365 movement to introduce an LGBTQ+ Ally Network, and to implement structured activities in support of this.
- Conduct a Mental Health Assessment and undertake a programme of Pride 365 Certified ‘Mental Health Mindful’ training for team members.
- Issue press releases to support the partnership with Pride 365 to raise awareness for the work of nominated charities and promote inclusivity in the workplace and society.
- Undertake an audit of our advertising, marketing, and scripts for television and web-sites to ensure that they are LGBTQ+ appropriate.
